A Bittersweet Announcement from The News Memo
Dear Premium subscribers,
David and I are writing to you today with some bittersweet news: we have decided to close down The News Memo, at least for the time being.
In recent months, David and I have had big life changes. David entered a missionary seminary in Rome, and my wife and I welcomed our first baby while starting a new full-time job. During this time, we have realized we are not able to keep up with the demands of writing the memo and that life is calling us elsewhere.
We should have sent this email two months ago, but it’s hard to come to grips with the end of something so fulfilling and fun to write. Your subscription will be cancelled and automatically refunded to your account but please let us know if there are any issues at john@thenewsmemo.com
It’s been a fantastic journey with all of you. We started The News Memo in 2019 as young bucks hoping to help people stay informed without being overwhelmed. What started as a Google Doc sent to family and friends became an email newsletter with thousands of dedicated readers.
Thank you all for allowing us to write this newsletter every week, and for those who shared it with family and friends. It meant a lot to us. A special thank you to you in particular, who actually sustained our work!
Who knows, maybe someday we will be back. But for now, it’s time to say goodbye.
With love,
John and David

God bless your new endeavors. We want to thank you for the years of News Memo we have subscribed to. This was my eldest son’s first exposure to reading news as part of our homeschool. You have helped him (and me) engage meaningful news in a healthy way. We are grateful. And if you could have heard his lament that you are done I think it would have made you smile to know how much it meant to him.
Good luck to the both of you in your endeavors and may God bless..
