Ukraine: In a coordinated effort, the U.S. and Germany will send tanks to assist Ukraine in its continued fight against Russia. President Biden said the U.S. will send 31 Abram tanks, and Germany has committed about 100 Leopard 2 tanks. In his comments, Biden said the move does not mark an offensive against Russia: “If Russian troops returned to Russia — where they belong, this war would be over today. That’s what we all want: an end to this war in just and lasting terms. You know, our teams do not permit one nation — we’re not going to allow one nation to steal a neighbor’s territory by force.”
