Local police shot and killed a 42-year-old man outside Cincinnati, Ohio, on Thursday after the perpetrator tried to breach the Cincinnati FBI field office. The suspect arrived at the FBI office in the morning wearing body armor and attempted to enter the security screening area. After armed officials responded to the security alarms, the attacker initially shot at officers with a nail gun before wielding an assault rifle. The man then fled the scene in his car and was chased by police on Interstate 71. After engaging in a several-hour standoff with police as they tried to negotiate, the suspect was killed as he raised his weapon at the police. Authorities have not commented on a motive for the attack.
More: Early checks appear to show the 42-year-old posted on Truth Social on Tuesday calling for war against the FBI. In addition, it appears he attended the Jan. 6 rally at the Capitol in 2021.
