JUUL: The FDA has banned all JUUL vape products in the U.S. After reviewing the company’s application, the FDA said it “lacked sufficient evidence regarding the toxicological profile of the products to demonstrate that marketing of the products would be appropriate for the protection of the public health.” JUUL will challenge the decision. Known for its slick-looking vapes and fruity flavors, JUUL has been one of the leading e-cigarette brands in the market since its founding in 2015 by two former smokers. While the FDA has banned new sales of JUUL products, the department has not banned the use of JUUL for individuals that already have them.
