Foreigners join Ukraine army: Over 20,000 foreigners from more than 50 countries have volunteered to join the Ukrainian army in its war against Russia, according to Kiev officials. The vast number of people has created logistical confusion for the country. Volunteers crossing the border must sign a contract that requires them to stay within Ukraine until the war is complete. The contract has made many change their initial plans. (video)
Shackleton ship found: The ship of the famous polar explorer, Ernest Shackleton, has been located in the Weddell Sea, 10,000 feet underwater (video). The ship, Endurance, remains surprisingly intact after 106 years at the bottom of the sea.
More: Shackleton and his crew were exploring Antarctica in 1914 when the ship became trapped in the ice. After living on the ship for four months, the crew abandoned it as it began to sink. Every man was eventually rescued. (more on the story here)
