Shutdown avoided: President Biden signed a measure last night (Thursday) which temporarily avoids a government shutdown by funding it until early December. The bill, which passed 65-35 in the Senate and 254-175 in the House, allows for the national museums, parks, and other government programs to continue normal operations. Although a shutdown has been avoided for now, more permanent legislation will need to be passed in December.
