Federal workers are now required to either be vaccinated or be tested weekly for the coronavirus and wear masks. Pres. Biden announced the decision on Thursday, which is expected to affect some 2M-4M employees, or ~3% of the total U.S. workforce. President Biden also directed states to give $100 to new recipients of the vaccine. Leading up to the announcement, Biden said,

“We have a pandemic because of the unvaccinated… And only one thing we know for sure: If those other hundred million people got vaccinated, we’d be in a very different world.” Adding, “If you’re not vaccinated, you’re not nearly as smart as I though…
