Condo collapse search ends: Rescue teams have stopped their search for bodies after an exhaustive two week effort. Around a dozen more bodies were uncovered this week, bringing the death toll to 60 with 80 people still unaccounted for. No survivors have been found since the collapse. “At this point, we have truly exhausted every option available to us in the search-and-rescue mission,” the Mayor of Surfside said. Hundreds of rescue members, priests, rabbis, and others paused for a moment of silence around the condo site (video). Rescue teams had worked in 12-hour shifts around the clock for the past two weeks.
