A 23-year-old Minnesota man has been fined $12m for his role in burning down the Minneapolis Police Department’s third precinct building last May. Dylan Shakespeare Robinson, a native of Brainerd, MN, has been sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to arson. Prosecutors said Robinson lit a Molotov cocktail and threw it into the precinct. The $12m fine will be paid through a variety of forms, including retirement funds, wages, and a monthly pay plan. Robinson’s lawyer has said it is unrealistic for his client to pay in full. Three other people were charged with arson, but have not yet received a sentence.
