Dr. Seuss Enterprises, will no longer publish six of the late author’s books because they “portray people in ways that are hurtful and wrong,” specifically, Black and Asian characters (read more). The six books were written between 1930 and the late ‘70s and include titles such as If I Ran the Zoo, And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, and The Cat’s Quizzer. eBay is also working to remove copies of the books from its site. On Amazon, a limited number of copies could be found on Friday morning when The News Memo checked, with copies of The Cat’s Quizzer selling for as much as $875.
