NASA lands on Mars: The Perseverance Rover landed on Mars Thursday in search of alien life forms. The mission was launched in July of 2020 and traveled 292M miles over 7 months to reach its destination. The rover is carrying a microphone to capture audio and 4k video capability. Materials collected by the rover will be brought back to Earth in a future NASA mission.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz was caught on video flying to Cancun on Wednesday amid the severe snowstorm, cold front, and power outages in Texas. Mr. Cruz cut the trip with his family short, returning on Thursday after video clips began circulating online. In a press conference back in Texas, Cruz said, "It was obviously a mistake. In hindsight, I wouldn't have done it. I was trying to be a Dad” (video).
