13 Charged in Plot to Kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer: In a coordinated effort that had been planned months in advance, 6 people have been charged in federal court for conspiring to kidnap the governor of Michigan, whom they said has “uncontrollable power” (referring to her COVID lockdown measures). 7 others, part of a militia group called “wolverine watchmen,” were charged in a state court in connection with the plot and for planning to storm the capitol before Nov. 3.
