The City of Louisville has reached a settlement with the family of Breonna Taylor, agreeing to pay the family $12 million. It represents one of the largest settlements ever in the case of a police shooting. While no police officers have yet to be charged, the city’s Attorney General, Daniel Cameron, is expected to bring the case before a grand jury in the coming days. Meanwhile, the Louisville police dept. has started to implement reforms, including more stringent requirements for warrants and search and seizures.
