Unemployment: 1.5 million new unemployment claims were filed last week, while the number of people receiving unemployment benefits fell slightly, from 21.3 million to 20.9 million. The unemployment rate taken at the end of May was roughly 16.4%. The continued economic fallout is pushing lawmakers and the White House to consider another economic relief package.
